The Annual Adventist Headteachers’ Sabbath, which is in its third year this year was held successfully  as  100 participants convened at Kireka SDA Primary School to discuss the possibility of creating Synergy for better performance in Church Owned and Church created institutions of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions in Central Uganda Conference.

The Annual Sabbath is held every 1st Term holiday around May and this fell on 12th May 2018. On this day Headteachers from Church Owned and Church related institutions meet, get communications from the Conference and higher organisations, discuss them and plan the implementation of the Church education plans.

They pray for the Adventist Institutions and pray for closer working relationship amongst themselves.  Over 70 headteachers attended this meeting bringing with them their staff members in charge of Music and Sports.
The Guest preacher, Pr. Isingoma Edward from Western Uganda Field Communication Dept emphasized the importance of returning to God’s ideal of Adventist education in all our church institutions.

The Education Director for CUC and host, Pr. Kaggwa Rogers appreciated the turn up noting that this time headteachers from as far as Semuto, Mubende, Masaka attended well. He pointed to the importance of choosing leadership in local zones (stations) for quick service delivery.
Both the Sports and the Music Sub Commitees chose early June as the Primary and Secondary Schools Music gala and sporting month. This was done to clear way for TMI and Mocks plus World Cup activities which clog Term Two timetable.
