Soon after leaving the Obudingya the staff travelled back to Kampala. On the way the paid a courtesy call to another king – the one of the Batwa Tribe. This is one of the “smallest” tribes in terms of populace and size.

These people are about 120 only in total number!! They are small in size as their number. King Nzito, whom they met in a very simple run down shed lives a very simple life! No guards, no guns, no worries!!  Despite all this he too has a Prime Minister!
He always wore a gourd as a necklace. He had a wife and children all simply dressed. What excited the staff is how the King freely led his people I a dance routine while holding a bow and arrow.
Information has it that King Nzito at one time was baptized but the worries of this world challenged him back! The Church has intentionally assigned them a full time evangelist to reach out to them.
The Batwa have lost many of their kind because evil people believe that f you HIV positive and you sleep with these pygmies, you will be cured of AIDS. This has resulted in many women being raped and they die. Little wonder their number is so small and they are becoming an endangered species.
Once again the president of CUC donated to the king “amakula” (cultural gift to a king) and excited pygmies took photographs after a powerful prayer from the visitors.
