Dr. Blasius Ruguri the East and Central Africa Division president paid glowing tribute to Central Uganda Conference for being the only Conference that rarely gives him trouble.

The ECD President was touring  Kireka Adventist Hospital (KAH), a 45 billion project in Central Uganda Conference on the 14th May 2019 on his first stop during his 6 day visit   to Uganda.
He caotivated his audience with the idea of a “Formula” for whatever they do since formulas distinguish different products and results from others.

He appreciated the Conference maturity for accepting to be subdivided into two other conferences which are pending a vote at Division level. He prophesied that when the new conferences begin, they will be shocked at the growth they will realize and predicted that Uganda Union will have a One Million membership in a very short while as soon as CUC is subdivided. At the moment CUC hold the highest membership in Uganda Union at 200,000 plus members.
Central Uganda Conference has proposed that North Buganda Station (Luweero) and West Buganda Station (Mityana, Kiboga) become Conferences.
He encouraged “competition” among the new Conferences saying healthy competition is good. He further noted that subdividing a Conference helps expand space for talent development and realization so people do not feel squeezed for leadership in a small, closed environment.
He thanked the KAH Committee members individually and the whole mobilizing Committees at Station levels generally and greatly appreciated the commitment of CUC members in Uganda and in the Diaspora for building a mammoth project of that magnitude.

Dr. Ruguri  was later hosted to Prime Radio 91.9 FM where he delivered a message to the church in Uganda.
Over 300 people including Uganda Union Officers and Departmentals, CUC Officers and Departmentals, CUC Ministers and all Kireka Adventist Hospital Mobilising Committees at Station level attended the Tuesday ceremony at Kireka Adventist Hospital.
