THE EAST CENTRAL AFRICA DIVISION EVALUTION TEAM MEETS CUC LEADERS

A team of three leaders from the East and central Africa Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church are in Uganda specifically the Central Uganda Conference to assess and evaluate the readiness of the CUC to be carved into three new Conferences.


The Team which arrived on Sunday the 22nd September 2019, comprises of Pr Muasya Paul   Special Assistant to the Division President in charge of Global Mission work, Eld. Javaid Philip,  Assistant Treasurer at ECD and, Pr. Dr. Samuel Misiani the President of South West Kenya Union Conference.
On Monday the team began with a very busy and intensive meeting with the CUC Officers which took practically a whole day. They went through huge reports and checked out a lot of details which they had earlier requested to be made available   during the evaluation process.
On Tuesday the team met the Departmental Directors of CUC and asked them to outline their vision for the departments, the readiness implication of the alignment for their departments.
The departmental directors cited the huge size of CUC as an impediment to service delivery and supervision as a challenge given the long distances to cover.
On Tuesday mid-morning they met the CUC Executive Committee   which they exhorted to uphold the 28 Fundamental Beliefs, and tasked them to teach the Church the revised Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
On Tuesday afternoon, the team left for North Buganda and West Buganda which territories are expected to become Conferences in near future.
