On Friday 26th August 2016, Pr. Kajoba Samuel, the president of CUC paid a courtesy call on Prime Radio to acquaint himself with the operations of the Conference Broadcaster and to meet the staff in person.
The program was at the Radio premises and over 40 broadcasters were in attendance. The Managing Director, Nkaivu Fred welcomed him and explained in detail the operations of the Radio, introduced all staff and outlined challenges and future plans for the Institution.
In his remarks, Pr. Kajoba commended the work done by Prime Radio and encouraged them to keep moving on despite the challenges in the industry. The Communications Director, Pr. Kaggwa Rogers who accompanied him encouraged the broadcasters to always spice their programs with a Christian perspective to keep the reason for the radio’s starting alive.
Prime Radio started 14 years ago and is supported by the Radio adverts, Church members offering , and renting its mast to Internet service Providers. Despite all this, it has huge expenses accruing from Electricity, Licensing fees and other expenses.
The President then moved office to office praying for the staff there and was hosted to a luncheon thereafter in the Director’s Office.
