Amidst the on-going global challenges of Covid-19, the Central Uganda Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Uganda is already underway in preparing this year’s campmeeting which are to commence on 12th-September, 2020.

Unlike the previous years, this year’s campmeeting is going to be a media broadcast that will be aired live on BBS Television from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm and from 8:00pm to 9:00pm. Prime Radio will however air the daily live broadcast of every sermon.

The campmeeting will be led by two speakers i.e., Dr. Pr. John Kakembo for the Luganda message and Dr. Pr. Matte Daniel the Executive Director of the Uganda Union of Seventh-day Adventists. The Luganda campmeeting is scheduled for 12th-19th September-2020 whereas the english campmeeting will begin on 20th-26th September-2020.

In their speech, both the treasurer and the executive secretary of Central Uganda Conference called upon the active participation and support of church members in Central Uganda Conference in the on-going preparations of this year’s peculiar campmeeting. In light of the needed funds for media production and broadcast, the executive secretary urged the church members to financially support the church through their campmeeting offering and campmeeting expenses offering which unlike the previous years, should be and will duly remitted to Central Uganda Conference to support the cause.

Although yet not fully confirmed, the administration and steering committee are considering availing booklet of the sermons and other information that will be aired during this year’s campmeeting for purposes of availing the information in different media formats for the edification of the church.

It should be noted that the executive secretary has on several occasions warned the church members about impostors who are cunningly extorting money from the church through self-organized supposedly called ‘campmeetings’ whose preparations and organization are not in line with the Central Uganda Conference.
